brycast financial planningBrycast is an investment advisor firm registered in Texas. It opened for business in early 2011 and is located in west Austin, off of Hwy 360. It is an independent fee-only based firm, meaning Brycast does not receive commissions and is not limited to recommending only certain products or securities to its clients.

Brycast was founded by Norman Bujanos. Norman worked as a design engineer in the semi-conductor industry for almost 20 years. He has 7 patents and a magazine publication.

After leaving the semi-conductor industry in 2008, Norman decided to enroll in the University of Texas CFP® program. After completing the education requirements in 2010, he realized that many people could benefit from the courses he took, but they probably did not have the time to take them. In order to help disseminate what he learned, he decided to start a small business that offered financial planning advice and income tax preparation.

Norman is a registered investment advisor. Most importantly, this means that he has a fiducial responsibility to his clients. His clients' interests are placed above his own. His recommendations are intended to be in your best interest, not his.

Norman is also an Enrolled Agent, admitted to practice before Internal Revenue Service. Most people know what a CPA or an attorney is, but when you say Enrolled Agent (EA) they usually get a quizzical look on their face. An EA is a person who has earned the privilege of practicing, that is, representing taxpayers before the IRS. EAs, like attorneys and CPAs, are unrestricted as to which tax payers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can practice before. Unlike a CPA or attorney, the Enrolled Agent designation comes directly from the US Treasury, not the State. All Enrolled Agents specialize in taxes, but not all CPAs and attorneys do.
